What is the medicine to prevent the painful tingling numbness effect of arms hands (point finger and smallest finger on right arm). It is possible tha MRI result can be misinterpreted?

Hello Leah,
Yes, it is possible; in fact likely.

The symptoms you describe belong to several different dermatomes; plus the fact that they are bilateral suggests this is something systemic, rather than a specific lesion in your neck say.

Not that that's impossible. Cervical stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal cord can produce symptoms in both arms and legs. But it's less common. How old are you?

This requires some good detective work and more tests; I would see a neurologist.

I vitamin B12 deficiency causing pernicious anaemia is one possible cause; are you a vegan?

Then an autoimmune disease causing demyelination of the nerves is another. There are really so many possible causes. It's good that the MRI I presume is negative. Do you have any weakness in your limbs?

If it affects your smallest finger, then it's not carpal tunnel syndrome; don't have a wrist operation. It won't help.

Are you a smoker? Have a chest xray.

Look to decrease the omega-6 seed oils in your diet, and increase the omega-3; fatty fish, walnuts and freshly ground flaxseeds are best. A high ratio of omega 6 to 3 causes inflammation.

Up the oleic acid fats that line your nerves with myelin. Olives and avocado are good sources.

I'd become something of a health nut if I was you; eat plenty of fruit and salads, and avoid the junk.

Let us know, keeping to this thread, when the cause is found.

I hope this has contributed.
