MY RIGHT LEG SHIN AREA TINGLES OFTEN
by HANS
(SOUTH AFRICA NORT WEST BRITS HAARTBEESPOORT DAM)
I HAVE HAD SCIATICA AND WAS TREATED THROUGH THE ACTIVATOR METHOD.
IN THE PAST THIS CURED THE PROBLEMS AFTER THREE TREATMENTS.
RECENTLY BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY PERIOD I HAD TO WAIT LONGER AS THERE WAS NO HELP AVAILABLE. SO FOR THREE WEEKS I SUFFERED INCREDIBLE DISCOMFORT AND PAIN. AFTER THAT I RETURNED TO THE CHIROPRACTOR AND HAVE HAD SIX SESSIONS AND AM FEELING.
AMAZINGLY BETTER AND CAN WALK UPRIGHT AND SLEEP AGAIN. BUT NOW AS GOOD I FEEL AT TIMES I HAVE THIS TINGLING
IN MY RIGHT LEG WITH SLIGHT MUSCULAR PAIN WHICH SEEMS TO GO WHEN I WALK A BIT. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED? I CAN LIVE WITH IT OR CAN I?
Hello Hans,
You are going to a very good chiropractor! If he can fix sciatica generally in three treatments, that's amazing.
Time has now to pass for that disc to heal, and because of the delay, there's some damage to the nerve root, so the tingling hasn't stopped yet. Go on being careful for at least a month now, and with luck it'll subside.
A setback within that month, and it will be bad, so be wary with bending, lifting, and even too much sitting.
Two little tests:
1. If you bend carefully forwards, is it much tighter in that right leg?
2. Sitting in a kitchen chair, if the boss raises first your left leg, and the right parallel to the ground, is it much tighter than the left?
If either of these are positive, you should still be seeing your chiropractor.
I would strongly recommend some gentle back exercises before getting out of bed. You can find some in the navigation bar at chiropractic help, but better still ask your DC.
I hope this contributes. A bottle of witblits for your chiro; doing a great job.
