Frozen Shoulder

Dear Peter, ART is one of the best treatments for frozen shoulder, hence the progress. Great news that your wife is responding well.

I personally find a first rib subluxation is often the root cause, so you might ask if they've checked that, probably have.

Plus if type "frozen shoulder exercises" in the Search this site at C=H you'll find some exercises. I would suggest she discuss them first with the doctor treating her.

I'm sorry, but I don't have any info on ART practitioners in JHB, but once you get there, if you do some homework, I'm sure you'll find some ART chiropractors. A very powerful treatment.

I hope this contributes.

Dear Dr. Barrie, 18 June 2011

First, we would like to inform you that we live in Johannesburg (normally). My wife is currently under going treatment for her frozen shoulder in California, USA with chiropractors who are using "Active Release Technique" (ART), developed, refined, and patented by Dr. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP http://www.activerelease.com/ . The treatment is showing great improvements. We will be returning to RSA by mid August and we wonder whether you have in your contact list a list of chiropractors in Johannesburg / Pretoria who are ART trained and certified.

FYI, my wife is also diagnosed with Hasimoto's disease which could be the root cause of her shoulder and neck problem. She will be going through a dietary regiment of nutrition supplementation and gluten free diet.

Appreciate any information and help you can provide.

Peter C
