I have pain in both legs when I go to stand up or sit down. It is from mid knee up through first half of the quadriceps muscles. Also, it feel like there is a lot of fluid accumulation and is when I bend my knee it feels like something is going to break (tendon, ligament?)

Toes, ankles, calves do not hurt, but it's hard to walk because of the fluid buildup.

Also, right leg is one inch shorter than left. Sometimes there is pain on right side near hip/spine.

This happened over time after a fall out of bed when I landed face down.

I doubt this is a femoral nerve problem, Tina, though it's possible of course. With this history, I'd start by examining your hips and knees.

I thorough examination is called for. How's your weight?
