Chiropractic manipulation for Eustachian tube dysfunction?

by SJ
(USA)

Hi Dr. Lewis,

On some non-professional website I read that chiropractic manipulation can relieve Eustachian tube dysfunction. Do you have any experience with that?

I am also curious if you know anything about using niacin to clear plugged ears or reduce tinnitis.

I really appreciate your website; it is a great resource!

Thank you, SJ.
So far as I know there's only anecdotal evidence that chiropractic manipulation, of the spine, I take it, may help with upper respiratory tract conditions. However, absence of evidence is not the same as evidence of absence.

And, no, I know nothing of niacin for tinnitis, nor anything else I'm afraid.

Sorry, not to be more helpful.

I just got mine adjusted. They tug hard on your ear and it breaks up scar tissue. YouTube has videos of it.

Thanks for your contribution. Tell us the reason for having it done, and whether it helped.
