Elbow pain and tingling in 4th and 5th digit

(Toronto Canada )

C8 dermatome, and the ulnar nerve distribution.

C8 dermatome, and the ulnar nerve distribution.

I bumped my elbow during a fall. Now when I bend my elbow for long periods, e.g. During typing, using my cell phone to text, I get pain and discomfort in my elbow and tingling into my ring and pinkie fingers. This has been going on for a year. Is there anything I can do?

Hello,
There are three possible places where the nerve has been injured: in your neck, in the Thoracic Outlet and and in your elbow, or a combination of them. The elbow in this case is obviously the most likely, but I'd check the other two as they have simulaneously been injured.

Bending the elbow increases the tingling: elbow problem. But what happens if you carry shopping in that hand, and if you put your hand on your head?

See if you can find a chiropractor with a FICS qualification (sports chiropractic). Phone your local chiropractic association.

I hope this has contributed.
