Tietzes syndrome

Hello Mitchel,
Is there any swelling, like a swollen nodule where the rib meets the breastbone? If you press on this area is it VERY tender compared to the left. Do you have pain in the middle of the back?

Any idea what started the pain? Trauma to the chest or midback? Surgery?

I take it you've had midback X-rays. Nothing?

Let me know, and we'll take this further.

Dr B

For three and a half years I have been struggling with severe shortness of breath and severe pain in the right chest area. I have tried for this length of time to get a diagnosis to no avail until February of this year. I was diagnosed with Tietze Syndrome by a Pain Management Specialist. He first did a 3 block and then two weeks later he did another 3 block and also a radio wave ablation. It has been over three weeks and no relief. He said it could take two to three weeks or maybe a month. I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this procedure done and how long it took to get relief.
