Right sided deep breast pain going through to scapula with burning and itching
Heart attack rib on the left, breast rib on either side.
Right sided deep breast pain going through to scapula with burning and itching after surgery is a diagnostic nightmare.
Thank you for allowing me to correspond.
I am a 58 female. I have had severe pain being a ten going from deep inside right breast through to scapula with intense itching. Last episode sent me to ED with chest pain.
All of these symptoms started approximately two years following a cholecysectomy. Following the surgery approx two weeks I was having right upper quadrant pain. I notified the surgeon; he told me I might have shingles. Follow up with surgeon only to receive pain medication. Very disgusted pushing narcotics send cy about your way. I felt with the intense pain. Having no insurance I was at wit's end.
After receiving insurance I finally was able to see a regular doctor. I was admitted to hospital for the first time and after losing 80 pounds in six months they scoped I had a huge ulcer from where my stomach was nicked. I was put on prilosec which helped some what. Pain is increasing in intensity again I was scoped egd was normal. At time feels like something hung up when swallowing; swallow real normal. I am at wit's end.
So deep R breast pain pushing through to scapula intense pain with severe itching. Need help.
There are a lot of imponderables. Did you have absolutely none of this chest, breast, back pain before the surgery?
The question is, is this referred pain from internal structures, like that ulcer, is it a breast condition, or do you have a rib condition?
And was the rib condition the problem all along, or was it caused by the surgery.
Obviously I have no answers to all these questions, but I pose them for your own thoughts.
Only a careful chiropractic examination can decide whether you have a rib condition.
Quite commonly a rib subluxation in the midback, scapula area, can radiate along the rib, under the breast to the sternum, causing pain all along the route.
Run your fingers down the junction between each rib and the sternum, comparing sides, and feeling for any tender and swollen areas.
Tietze's syndrome is something to consider.
I hope this contributes.
