Post op nerve block causing burning sensation in the opposite groin

I had my acl repaired on January 5th and was given a femoral nerve block in my left groin. The following day, I noticed whenever I made a sudden movement such as a cough or a sneeze, I would feel a burning sensation in my right groin (the opposite to which the nerve block was given)

It's now 5 days later, and I am experiencing a constant burning sensation in that right groin area; whether I am walking, sitting, etc.

Any advice?

It makes no sense, Linzie, and since you were presumably conscious during the whole procedure you'd know if they'd accidentally first done the block in the wrong leg.

If it's not improving within a few days, I'd contact the anaethetist.
