Painful right hip and groin.

by Dieter Warschkuhl
(South Africa)

for 3 years - Groin pain right hand side; right hip pain, unable to sleep on right side; very painful right hip when walking; unable to lift right leg into the air - feels very weak and painful; unable to bring right leg up to pull socks on.

severe pain in upper right leg(comes and goes).

Hello Dieter,
Have you had xrays taken? That's definitely the next step, particularly after three years. Hip arthritis first needs to be ruled out.

How old are you? Hip arthritis can and does occur in the younger person, but under 35 I would be looking for one of the hip impingement syndromes.

Keeping to this thread, please type in the xray report.
