Precisely where is the tingling?

Precisely where is the tingling?

Hi

Since about three weeks I have been feeling pain in the right side below the armpit, as well as pain in the right shoulder, with tingling sensation in the forearm. Most likely it started associated to an acute gastritis four weeks ago. The initial pain was diffuse and would vary from location.

Currently, any time I eat I will find some pain in the middle right of the back and immediately after would go up to the right side of the neck and the shoulder. Afterwards I would feel some tingling sensation under the armpit and specifically in the forearm.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

Hello David,
Yes, there are some worrying features of this, so pursue it and don't allow it to become chronic.

The first thing to note is what aggravates the pain; you already know the first factor: eating. What about breathing, turning your head, swinging and using the shoulder?

Then second, exactly where in the forearm is the tingling? Is it provoked by turning your head to the right and then looking up?

It's really not clear from what you remark whether this is referred from a stomach complaint, a rib subluxation which could have happened with the vomiting, or something in your neck.

I'd be inclined to start with your medical doctor; you need a diagnosis so don't just accept pills.

Good luck and let me know what comes of it.
