I was in a car accident about 3 years ago which I think worsened my injury. I think bad posture played a part in this prior to the car accident where I was rear ended by a car going about 55 mph while I was at a complete stop. No broken bones etc, but diagnosed with a concussion and whiplash.
The point that I am feeling now, which is in the spot between my left shoulder blade and my spine. I can feel tight muscles in my trap, scalenes etc. Upper limb tension test increases the pain and tingles down my left outer arm and into my last two fingers.
When I extend my arm out to make a 90 degree angle with my side and I then rotate my hand 270 degree it causes pain. I believe I have a pinched nerve in my neck and wanted to get some advice on exercises that can help.
Thanks for your time.
I have a few questions for you.
1. Turn your head to the left and then look up. What do you feel; tell me exactly.
2. When you move your arm at the shoulder as described, and other positions, where exactly is the pain.
3. Using a needle prick your two outer fingers and compare with the right hand.
4. Assess the strength of the muscles in your hand, as in opening a tight bottle.
Let me have some answers and we will take this further.
