Partial sacralizations give more trouble

My name is subramanyam; I am 32 years old and I am suffering from Bilateral sacralization and due to this I am suffering from severe lower back pain. So please can you tell me what are the remedies we have to take care of.

Hello Subramanyam,
If you could attach a copy of your xray, or send it to Contact, it would help.

Generally, bilateral sacralization of L5 is okay; it's the unilateral ones that give more trouble.

You in effect just have four lumbar vertebrae instead of five; there's a fair chance that this is what we call an incidental finding; it has little to do with your pain.

Having said that, all the bending in your lower back is spread over four vertebrae instead of five.

I don't know if there are chiropractors in Hyderabad, but I suspect not; for some our professional has not spread into your country.

There are three things you could consider:

1. Start doing our lower back exercises very faithfully every morning before getting out of bed. Better still, do them several times a day. You'll find them in the navigation bar at Chiropractic Help.

2. Go for a regular massage, lying on a pillow under your belly, or on your side; not flat on the table.

3. See if you can get hold of an inversion table; in effect hang upside down from your feet.

I hope this contributes.
