Hello Chapri,
Spinal conditions can be very trying once the nerve(s) is irritated, and by the sounds of things that is what is happening in both your neck and lower back.

I agree, try and avoid drugs, they just muddy the water, and mostly don't treat the cause of your problem, and often have serious side effects.

Without an examination it's obviously difficult to make a diagnosis and specific recommendations. Hopefully you'll have some good advice from the specialist.

All I can say is that these are the sorts of things chiropractors treat on a daily basis. Day in and day out. You have to decide which route you want to go. Medical, physiotherapy, physical therapy or chiropractic. Your call...

What you can do for yourself is keep fit. Start some lower back exercises from C-H and do them faithfully. Go for regular walks with your family, and perhaps consider swimming.

I hope this has contributed.
