Tingling & Numbness in neck, shoulders, both arms and fingers, and thighs

I've searched for an authoritative explanation to my condition, and unfortunately I have no health plan coverage to be seen professionally. Perhaps you can give me a clue?
Even right now, I feel a constant and extremely debilitating electrical like tingling in both hands and arms, as well as the back of my neck from my skull to the very top of my spine. Additionally, the front of my thighs (both) have numbness, but not as troublesome.
Here's the interesting part to me... even though this tingling and numbness is constant over the past month, if I simply look downward using my neck, moving my head forward even slightly, the tingling intensifies and the further I stretch my neck downward, the more intolerable the sensation. My fingers are weak, and pressure spots on my hands and arms and shoulders are extremely painful when massaged.
I have had nothing like this in my past. The only medical history I have is a prolapsed valve in the heart, and I was hospitalized 7 years ago for blood clots.
It's really affected my work performance and daily life dramatically because it just won't go away!
Hello John,
I'd recommend a consult with a neurologist. That's a "Lhermitte sign" that you are getting when you move your head and neck forwards, and it can be serious.
It's possible that you have a problem in the cervical spine (neck), in which case a chiropractor is the right way forwards, but first the neurologist.
I'd also start a B vitamin complex, and make sure you care getting plenty of the good fats: olive oil, avocado, fatty fish like salmon for the omega-3 and nuts.
But what's needed is a diagnosis.
I hope this has contributed. Let me know...
