Tingling in left hand thumb and left big toe

by pk_ocp@yahoo.com
(Pakistan)

Tingling in arms and hands and feet.
Hello doctor,
I have pain in my neck (back side only). I can move my neck easily to all side.
But can not sleep. I get pain when i turn my neck into straight shape.

I'm also getting few issues with my left hand (Like loss of power, I can't hold glass of water with my left hand). I feel my left foot thumb has No-sense.

No feeling in my hand's and left foot's thumb.

Could you please let me know what is this? Are these sign of a dangerous disease?
I'm worry about it. Please help me.

Regards,

Khurram

Hello Khurram,
The only way you can put your anxiety to rest, is to first of all have an X-ray taken of your neck, and a thorough examination by a competent physician.
Radiation to the thumb from the neck is really quite common, though it would more normally include the index finger. The tingling in your big toe is probably unrelated, but an examination should keep that in mind.
See your doctor for an X-ray and ask for a referral to a neurologist. I'm assuming there aren't many chiropractors in Pakistan. The loss of power in your arm is of concern.
