Tingling in hands and arms.

I am experiencing this problem down the back side of both arms to the last fingers mostly to the biggest and a bit in the thumbs.

I will also mention that I have a Lypoma (fatty tissue growth) in the back right side of my neck which has slowly grown in size. I feel this tingling may be all over my body as well, tough to decide since it is so minor in these latter areas.

Hopefully mentioning the Lypoma will not cause an oversight on another issue. I will be seeing a Doctor, I just don't know which type. I also feel lethargic often. Thank you so much for your service.

Brad.

Hello Brad,
Lethargic and tingling all over suggests to me the need for a vitamin B complex. The B vitamins like B1 Thiamine and B12 are vitally involved in the nerves.

Read here for example the story of B1 and beri beri. Do you only eat white rice, no brown rice? http://www.chiropractic-help.com/Generalised-muscle-weakness.html

If it's going to the thumb and the pinkie, then it's probably not a specific nerve. The lipoma if very large could be a factor, but unlikely and probably wouldn't affect the other arm.

Start by asking your local pharmacist to give some B complex shots, one a week for a month. Let me know what happens. If that doesn't help, then blood tests and a more detailed physical exam is called for.

I hope this has contributed.

Dr B
