tingling in arms and weakness

tingling in arms and weakness

hello,
my boyfriend said he woke up this morning and has felt like his arm has been "falling asleep" all day long and also feels weakness in that arm also. It is in his left arm at the triceps muscle. He has carpel tunnel in both wrists along with high blood pressure. could this be a blood clot?

It's unlikely to be a blood clot, it's really not common in the arm. Is there any swelling?

Does he have any neck pain, and do any movements of the head and neck increase the weak feeling and tingling in the arm.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is not going to cause the weak triceps.

The triceps is the most commonly affected muscle in a pinched nerve in the neck, but then turning his head to the left and looking up would certainly be painful in the neck, and perhaps in the arm.

Does he get relief by putting his hand on his head, or does it make it worse?

Let me know.
