Tingling in arms and hands fingers

by Trina

Tingling in arms and hands fingers

Hi, I have a protruding disc (C5 and C6); spent last year going to chiro for neck adjustments (this was prior to having an MRI)....I have an EMG scheduled next week. I am a CMT and have stopped working due to tingling and muscle weakness. Would you advise to stop working while I have those symptoms?

I'm also experiencing headaches, fatigue and concentration problems (can this be related to the neck issues/pinched nerve?

Hello Trina,
Nasty symptoms, I can well imagine you are having difficulties. Obviously I have no idea how serious the disc bulge is, but this is a condition that will usually respond well to chiropractic. Another chiro?

Think also of a home traction unit, one done lying down. The research is weak, but I find in combination with chiro it's a big help.

Don't carry heavy things in that arm. Stretches the nerve out.

The problem is: if you sit at home you are likely just to get depressed. Ï'd go on doing what you can, perhaps less hours, less stress.

Those mental symptoms can be from the pain, but if you are taking meds they are typical anti cholinergic symptoms, over 50% of drugs. Rather use ice.

I hope this has contributed.
