TIngling arms hand wrist and feet

I started doing a new workout dvd about three weeks ago. One section uses your arms without weights and does many many shoulder hand and wrist movements.
The next section was done with three pound weights with very similar movements over and over. I started having shoulder, forearm wrist and hand pain along with tingling in my hands a couple of days after doing my last workout.
I am sure this DVD has caused my problem, with either nerve irritation in my neck or wrists?
The other part of the DVD has plenty of matt workout with lower body movements using a chair and without a chair. Now I don't understand why my feet and toes are tingly too? This came on about a week after the upper body pains. Went to a podiatrist who has suggested I stay off my treadmill and DVD's for about a week and take Advil.
I plan on seeing my chiropractor who has treated me in the past for back issues caused by leg length discrepancy. I wear a build in lift in all my shoes. Any suggestions about the tingling?
Hello Rosalinda,
We live in a world that demands instant gratification, and instant results. Neither of course exist, an illusion, as is the instant fit, healthy, beautiful body.
I agree, I think it's logical to assume that your sudden 5000% increase in activity has upset your body. We are all in routines, physical, dietary, emotional, and sudden changes upset the applecart.
I'd avoid the Advil, bad stuff. Go back to old routine, hope and pray all these annoying symptoms stop. They probably will.
Then start over, adding 1% a day to your previous level of activity. Slowly does it. If you've been inactive for a long time, it's going to take a year or more to get into shape. Don't expect instant results, they don't exist. It's going to take commitment and hard work, worth every minute to get fit again.
A sudden increase like your DVD suggests just inevitably means pain, frustration and disappointment.
Start by taking a walk every day, apple in hand. Always the best. Can't hurt unless you get knocked over, or a dog bites you! And enormous steady benefit from walking and an extra fruit a day.
