Tingling and numbness in my hand
by Tammy Theriot

The question I have is about the tingling and numbness in my left hand, it happens every so often, I am on the computer a lot, however, I also have a slight pain in my shoulder, which feels like Arthritis. I also at times feel it in my chest, but this could be due to the heartburn/acid reflux I have been experiencing lately. Could it be that I have arthritis in my shoulder, my shoulder hurts when I do anything strenuous or even sometimes when I mop my floors. Also, I tend to have poor posture and my sleeping habits consist of sleeping on this side of my body a lot. Could this be causing my pains. I was diagnosed with Anxiety a few weeks ago but since I have been on medication I feel fine during the day, it is in the morning and at night I have my anxiety problems, even with the meds. What could be causing this shoulder pain, I think I may have arthritis, it runs in my family. Please advise me on what could be my problem. Thanks -Tammy Hello Tammy, The first question is: in which fingers do you have the tingling? That gives us a lot of information.
Any neck condition affecting the nerves to your arm makes the whole arm vulnerable: that means the possibility of shoulder conditions such as you have, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, tingling and numbness in the hand.
Only a careful thorough examination will provide the answers you are seeking.
If you type "frozen shoulder exercises" into the Search this site at C-H you'll find some exercises that you could start with. Not that I think you have a frozen shoulder, but they are some simple basic exercises.
It's perfectly normal to feel anxious with these symptoms, particularly if you feel they are getting worse not better. Time to take action. Like this query - a good sign.
Shoulder / arm pain is often worse at night, nothing unusual about that. Time to look for a good chiropractor in your neck of the Louisiana woods.
I hope this has contributed.
