Sharp tingling pain in wrist to hand

Ok I am 19 and have this tingle in my hand and wrist when ever I make a quick movement to the left. The pain is very shape and very quick and last just for a few seconds. It happens on occasions but never this serious.

Also I have noticed that when I wake up in the morning my hands are completely numb. And it's very hard for me to close my hands at this point. I have noticed this before as an oversensitivity. Is this serious? What would you say causes this?

Hello Leland,
Firstly, try and identify precisely in which fingers you have the tingling. You notice from the above graphic that Carpal Tunnel Syndrome misses the pinkie.

Do your hands actually swell?

Press in the forearm just below the elbow, is it very tender? Radiate to the hand?

Do you have any neck pain? Does turning your head provoke the pain and tingling?

Do you sleep on your tum?

The answers to these questions will give us a better idea of what the problem is, but only a careful chiropractic examination will confirm whether you have a chiropractic problem.

A blood test for your B12 levels and a rheumatoid arthritis test may be order too.

Let me know the answers to these questions.
