I was born with a severe club foot and have been in 3 bad car accidents. Have had mri that shows that I have 2 degenerative discs in my lower back and they think that it's pressing on a nerve. The option they're giving me is steroid injections, up to 3. I'm not sure if this will work for me. I want to know other options because I've had this problem for a long time, please help.

Hello Toni,
If you have a positive Slump test for sciatica, then the next option, actually should have been your first option, is to see a local chiropractor. Get your xrays and the MRI.

Talk to friends and family, and even your GP for the name of a local DC.

Steroids are only symptom treatment. In chiropractic we believe in addressing the cause of your pain.

Start with the basic lumbar exercises at Chiropractic Help.

Let me know how you get on.
