pins and needles, tingling in hands and arms

pins and needles, tingling in hands and arms

Hi
I am having this problem for awhile so if you could offer advice i would appreciate it. I awake at night with my arms dead and no feeling. My hands and fingers feel tight and swollen and are red at the finger tips. It returns to normal after I hang my arm down and then if I fall asleep again the discomfrt returns.

When moving my hands and arms are fine although the swelling and redness in my fingers is still present. it is worse after bathing, my fingers and the red swelling.

I also experience mild itching. I have searched and cnnot find a link between the two? maybe they are not related. can you help?
thanks

Hallo,
An interesting question. The most likely diagnosis, based on the scant information you provide, and to be quite honest I wouldn't expect more, because the details are more technical, is a Carpal Tunnel syndrome. It's often worse at night and early morning.

The crux of the matter is: which fingers does it affect? And do you have any neck pain?

Carpal tunnel is what we call a double-crush syndrome. Almost invariably the Median nerve is irritated in two or more places. See our Carpal Tunnel syndrome page at C-H.

CTS responds well to Chiropractic provided your chiro addresses the forearm and the wrist as well as the neck and first rib.

Let me know which fingers...
