Pain in the right arm, a bit on the right, and below the collar bone

I got to ask this important question, We got here (Canada) four weeks ago. The days passed, when mom's pain in the right upper arm started. She said, at first it was tolerable, but towards the end of the month, the pain worsened. It reached the lower part of her right collarbone now.
The pain comes and goes every now and then, but heightens especially at night. We did remedy by applying ointment to the affected areas and massaged them, but she said it got a bit more painful after I did massage.
The pain started worsening when mom started working in a pastry factory a week ago, and she pretty had a hard time doing stuff with her arms and hands all the time that it hurt her.
She took pain reliever just a couple of hours ago, though it worked a bit, it got back again.
She even got headache that day. Doctor, what could be the reason behind this? We haven't referred her to a chiropractic doctor yet due to the cost of the expenses. Please help us, I'll give more info if you wish. Thank you very much.
Hello Catherine,
I'm afraid there are many things that could be the cause. Does moving her arm hurt? What increases the pain? Does raising her arm hurt, do movements of her head hurt? Is there a reddish bump on the end of the collarbone next to her breastbone? Does breathing increase the pain?
Then on top of that it could be one of the ugly things. I'm afraid a careful thorough exam is the only way forward. If you can't afford a chiropractor, go to the local hospital.
With pain now lasting a month, and pain at night, you shouldn't ignore it.
Sorry, I can't be more helpful, perhaps answers to the above questions could give me more direction.
