Numbness rt thumb and point finger
C6 dermatome: thumb and index finger
I have pain on the rt side back of neck inching rt front neck and numbness in rt thumb and point finger, I don't have insurance is there anything i can do to help myself. I wish I could be encouraging. I'm afraid you have typical C6 nerve root irritation in the neck. It's one of the more painful conditions faced at the Chiropractic Coalface, often disturbing your sleep and causing a deep ache in the arm.
All conditions sometimes resolve of themselves, and this may too. On the other hand it may leave you with a weak and lame arm.
Two things to look out for: prick you hand and see if there's a difference right and left.
Do some push-ups, looking for weakness in the triceps muscle in the arm.
You might try some home-traction, though the research isn't very convincing. You can make this home traction unit for a small sum: http://www.chiropractic-help.com/Home-traction-unit.html
It's all a matter of priorities. If you value your health, cut back on some luxury that you could do without, and spend it on getting well. After all you have saved a mint by not having insurance. I know. I don't have any insurance either! It's now time to spend those savings.
Set yourself a deadline: if it's not distinctly better by xxx (perhaps 2-3 weeks) I'll go to the chiropractor. Actually the longer you delay, the higher the bill is likely to be and you risk having a problem for the rest of your life.
Sorry I can't be more encouraging.
