Lower back pain and Tingling in Upper Left Arm
I have been suffering from Lower back pain for over 6 years now. I consulted many doctors and majority of them diagnosed acute muscular spasm, however, the condition did not improve and remains as is, till date.
Now I would like to describe the symptoms rather a description of how I feel like and when.
a. In normal circumstances, when I am upright, walking or jogging I do not feel anything wrong in my back.
b. However, When I lift some weight, even my laptop. It gives me the feeling of tiredness very quickly and I start getting pain in my lower back.
c. I also feel pain, when I stretch my hands out, like I wash some dishes, or wash my hands in a wash basin. The longer I remain, in this position, the sharper the pain becomes in my back.
d. I also get the pain, when I wear trousers that are slightly tighter in waist or I wear a belt slightly tight. This pain also becomes unbearable at time.
e. Sometimes, I feel pain stretching to middle of the back and actually becomes sharper at that position. Sometimes, I feel acute tightening in back muscles
f. I also feel tightness or stiffness in my neck.
g. For over months now, I feel numbness and prickling in my upper left arm. This sensation is quite bearable and localized
h. Some time back, I had also been facing a problem of choking in sleep particularly when I used slightly bigger pillows.
i. I am also suffering from bronchial Asthma, though I do not think, it has something to with it.
Hello Noorul,
Alas, I have no idea if there are chiropractors in Pakistan. These are fairly typical of the symptoms we would treat on a daily basis.
My best suggestion is to keep active as possible and strengthen your core muscles. Backs and neck like to be busy and dislike the chair, computers and television! Walk, swim, cycle, keep busy.
As far as possible keep off drugs. The side-effects are often worse than the benefits.
I hope this contributes.
