left hand , left side of left hand pain resonates to elbow

C8 dermatome, ring finger and pinkie and outer arm.

I am concerned with the above symptom. What and who would be the best doctor to see regarding something like this and what in your opinion is the possible causes.
David

Hello David,
Do movements of your neck provoke the pain in the hand and lower arm? In particular does turning your head to the left, and then simultaneously looking up do anything? Does placing your hand on your head relieve the pain in the hand?

A trapped nerve by a first rib subluxation can also affect the nerve supply to your arm in the so-called Thoracic Outlet. Type the term into Search this site at C-H. Then the pain in the lower arm often worsens when lifting the arm.

If any of this rings bells, then get some X-rays of your neck, and look for a local chiropractor. If not, then the problem could be in the lower arm. Not carpal tunnel because that affects the thumb side of the hand.

A careful, thorough examination is called for David. I hope this contributes.
