I have a problem of lower back pain.

Actually sir, I fell down around 5/6 years ago during my training. At that time I did not care it more. I cure it myself by massage with oil and hot water. Now I am 32 years old and around six month earlier when I tried to lift a cupboard suddenly something struck in my back and I got pain. I tried to cure myself again but not cured effectively so I went to the hospital and they recommended for MRI and CT scan. I did it.

According to my scan report it has disc bulge at l4-l5 level. Small right paramedian disc protrusion at l4-l5 level with right l5 nerve root compromise as well as mild right l4-l5 neural foraminal steno-sis. So my doctor recommended me for physiotherapy and I am still doing it but result is not so fruitful. Still i got pain in back as well as little bit pain towards inside my thighs from back and goes towards ankle at right side. I told this to my doctor he suggested me to continue therapy and not to work hard and stand. But its my job nature to do it.
So will you please kindly inform me what would be the best methods to cure it quickly and if therapy is best then what are the methods that I have to do. or any things else that I have to do to cure it.

Hello Rameshwor,
I'm afraid nothing is going to cure it quickly, and as far as I know there are no chiropractors in Nepal. You might look around though.

My best suggestion is that you start our lower back exercises which you'll find at Chiropractic Help in the navigation bar on the left. It's not the treatment of choice, but you don't have much other option, other than surgery.

Actually, if you can find an inversion traction device that hangs you upside from the feet, that might help, done for about 20 minutes every day.

Sorry that I can't be more helpful.
