chiropractor recommendation

I reside in Delray Beach, FL. For a year and a half, I have dealt with Rotator Cuff surgery, pain in both rotator cuff areas, severe arm aching, elbow aching and now I am starting to get tingling in arms and hands too.

I am also suffering with knee pain.

I am in such chronic pain, that I just don't know what to do anymore. I have a scoliosis and left side neck pain too.

I haven't been able to work out in over a year and am very frustrated. I have been to orthopedic doctors and chiropractors and am not getting any answers.

Can you recommend me to a good chiropractor in this area? Can you advise me further of what I should be looking into?

Please, any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,
Yes, a difficult and sad saga. I'm afraid that without a careful and thorough exam it's really very difficult to advise.

What is clear is that you have a scoliosis, neck pain, and I can give you a 90% assurance that your shoulder pain, elbow pain and tingling in the arms is related to something in your neck area.

One possibility is a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. It's related to the first rib, the collarbone and two muscles in the neck that can affect the artery and nerves to your arm. Classically, working with your arms above your ahead will bring on the symptoms very quickly, your arms will tire. The test that needs to be done is called Adson's test. Google it. YouTube. You will find plenty on the TOS at Chiropractic Help, use the search function.

My suggestion is to do some homework. Talk to friends and family, even your doctor, and get the name of a good, thorough, experienced local Chiro.

If you have a short leg, a frequent cause of scoliosis, an insert in your shoe may help.

I hope this has contributed.

Dr B.
