Arm pain and severe headache after whiplash

Arm pain and severe headache after whiplash

Headaches very severe never felt before u pounding in morning light sensitivity nausa ringing in ears dizzy. Two weeks after whiplash seeing chiro

I'm worried my headaches are telling me something more is wrong. They do not go away with my medication still have dull achiness all day. Hurts with movement from back of neck sending spike waves up the back of my head to the front and behind my eyes.

I'm seeing a chiropractor who is adjusting has found torn muscles and so on I'm not sure to the extent until I have his notes.

My primary care doctor diagnosed with trapezium neck strain.

My left arm is going numb and weak into my hand if I use it to lift it feels like my arm is going to break at the elbow.

Do I need to see a neurologist possibly even a orthopedist? I cannot fully function like this.

Hello,
I'm afraid that your primary care doctor, and possibly the chiropractor too have underestimated the extent of the injury.

Have you had X-rays taken. An MRI may be in the offing too.

If the accident was not your fault, certainly do not sign off. The pain and particularly the weakness in your arm points to a significant injury.

If X-rays at least have not be ordered, then all concerned in my book have been less than fully diligent and yes, I would see a specialist.

If X-rays have been taken, and you are confident of what your chiropractor is doing, then stay with him/her. It sounds like a quite severe injury if you have weakness in the arm, so don't expect a two-click miracle chiropractic cure. It won't happen.

Not sure why raising your arm hurts. That needs to be assessed further. Either a shoulder injury, or perhaps in the "inter Scalene triangle" (enter this in C-H search) or other.

It's hard for me to advise, obviously I don't have nearly enough facts, but yes you have reason to be concerned. Are your doctors concerned? Have they done neurological tests on your arm?

I hope this contributes.
